Active Love
According to Marston and Hecht's love ways, "Active love is based on actively doing things together. It also involves feelings of increased strength and self-confidence."(LLR1) In Westeros relationships are often overlooked. Plenty of bad examples of how to treat one another exist. The relationship that is very active and is a great example of how love should look is the relationship between Tyrion and Shae. They met under very unfortunate circumstances, but become inseparable. They will do everything together, from eating together to traveling to other cities. Tyrion wants Shae by his side at all time. All signs point that they will continue to be active for a very long time.
Forgiveness
Due to the massive amounts of violence in Game of Thrones, there is often attempts to stop it. Forgiveness is a very important tool for the characters, as they are often put in life and death situations. According to Guerrero, "victims are more likely to grant forgiveness and use positive communication with their partner if the seriousness of the transgression does not prohibit forgiveness and the relationship was of high quality prior to the transgression."(LLR2) Robb Stark is the commander of the army in the north, but he understands the importance of peace. He is often forced to push away his pride and tell foes that he is sorry. This helps mend the relationships he has, and to create new ones.
